1 Corinthians 3:12-13

Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. (1 Corinthians 3:12-13)

God wants you to bring people into His Kingdom, not things. The buildings, the books, the music, the sermons, they will all be burnt up by His glory when He comes through the clouds of heaven.

Jesus will burn up the chaff and purify the wheat with the fire of His glory. Jesus will not say to you, Thank you for writing a bunch of books, enter into your rest; but He will say, Thank you for fanning the flame of the Holy Ghost in my saints and for bringing in so many into the Kingdom: enter into your rest. This is why those who say, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name, will not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. They are looking at what they do to please God rather than who they bring with them.

If we look at our abilities and try to erect some structure, then it will be chaff that will burn in Jesus' fire. If we use our abilities to bring people into the Kingdom of Heaven, or to build up the saints, then those jewels of gold and silver will be made brighter by His fire. The gold, silver, and precious jewels spoken of by Paul in 1 Corinthians are saints of God, while the chaff are the books, and methods, and all else used to bring these people in.

We will not be reading the Bible in Heaven, because the Living Word will be there! We will not need to prophesy, for all prophecies will be fulfilled by Him at His coming! Let's stop worrying about what impact we can make on this world, and just focus on bringing souls into His Kingdom by using the talents and several abilities He has already given us for this task.

Be known as soul-winning Christians, not writers or musicians or preachers! Praise the LORD Jesus Christ, the risen Son of God!
